About Us
Independent reviews of headphones, IEMs, speakers, amps and car audio. Every one ends with a straight verdict, so you know what to buy and what to skip.
Who we are
Audio Gear Reviews is an independent review site for people who want to buy audio gear without decoding marketing copy.
We cover everything from headphones and in-ear monitors tohome audio, home theater and car audio. Each review is written by one of the staff authors credited on the article.
What every review gives you
Pros
What the product does well, stated plainly and tied to the kind of listener who benefits.
Cons
Where it falls short, including the problems a spec sheet never mentions.
Verdict
A final call: who should buy it, who should skip it and what to look at instead.

How we review
Use over spec sheets
We judge gear by how it performs in real listening and real setups, and use measurements where they help explain what you hear.
Compared to alternatives
A product only makes sense next to its rivals. We weigh it against options at a similar price so the verdict means something.
Kept current
Prices, firmware and availability change. When they change enough to affect the verdict, we update the review.
Mistakes get fixed
If you spot an error, tell us. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.

Editorial independence
Manufacturers don't pay for scores, rankings or favorable coverage. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. That never changes a verdict.
When a manufacturer supplies a review unit, we say so in the review and keep full editorial control. The details are in our disclaimer, and how we handle your data is in ourprivacy policy.
